Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have been linked with Rafael Leao of Sporting Lisbon.

Leao is one of the most promising and talented young players in Europe, and the report that Premier League duo Tottenham and City are interested in the 18-year-old forward should not come as a surprise.

The Portugal Under-21 international could have a decision to make in the summer of 2018, but it is clear which club he should choose, if indeed, the Citizens and Spurs come calling.
At this stage of his career, Leao should choose Tottenham over City mainly because he would develop better at the North London club.

True, City have arguably the best football manager in the world in Pep Guardiola, but competition for places in the first team is fierce.
Despite Leao’s undoubted talent, he could end up in the youth team or merely a squad player at City.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino gives chances to young players, and if Leao is able to showcase his talent and trains hard, then he could well get chances at the North London club.
