Newcastle United have reportedly agreed a deal with Atalanta United for Miguel Almiron.

Newcastle have agreed a deal in principle with Atalanta United for the playmaker, but they need the transfer to be sanctioned by Mike Ashley.
If Almiron does arrive, Benitez reportedly intends to play him as a number 10 and that may leave Ayoze Perez asking questions.
Perez has come in from criticism from Newcastle supporters this season, after showing a lack of ruthlessness in front of goal.
The Spanish forward has hit just one goal this term, and he could now see his spot taken after January.

Benitez intends to use Almiron as his side’s main creator, if he does arrive at St. James’ Park.
If Perez is dropped, many Newcastle supporters are likely to welcome the change.
But it would represent a dramatic shift of opinion from Benitez, who has always stuck by Perez during his time on Tyneside to date.
