Newcastle United are fighting for survival in the Premier League at the moment.

Benitez has suggested that the signing of 24-year-old Paraguay international attacking midfielder Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United and the recruitment of 23-year-old Italian full-back Antonio Barreca on loan from AS Monaco in the January transfer window will enable him to adopt a more attacking brand of football.
Benitez told The Shields Gazette: “These players, Barreca and Almiron, both are offensive players, they’re fine on the ball, they go forward, they have some pace, and they bring us something that we needed. So, hopefully, they can help the team in attack.”

Exciting for Newcastle United fans
Benitez has a reputation of playing defensive football, and Newcastle do tend to have a caution-first approach to matches.
The Magpies have scored just 21 goals in 25 Premier League matches so far this season; Fulham, Cardiff City, Burnley and Southampton all have scored more.
Newcastle needed a creative player, and they have now got one in Almiron, and the St. James’ Park faithful will hope that he creates chances for the strikers to finish off.
The Magpies are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 25 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
Ayoze Perez out, Miguel Almiron in?
Redknapp said on Sky Sports Premier League last Saturday afternoon (2:48pm, February 2, 2019): “I like Ayoze, but if you look at that team, the one player he (Almiron) would come in for, it would be Ayoze.”
