Rafael Benitez has told the Northern Echo that he wants to know his January transfer budget at Newcastle United as soon as possible.

Amanda Staveley is expected to buy Newcastle from Mike Ashley in the very near future, with Benitez set to have money to spend in January.

However, Benitez claims that he has not been told how much money he will have to invest when the transfer window opens again.

“I don’t have any information,” Benitez admitted. “I need to know how much money we will have for January as soon as possible, that is it but I have no information.”

Newcastle are known to want additions in January, as they have been caught short of quality this season.
