Rob Elliot is struggling for playing time at Newcastle United at the moment.

Elliot has yet to make an appearance for Newcastle this season and is unlikely to do so in the coming weeks.
With Martin Dubravka having established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Magpies and playing well at the moment, it is hard to see the 32-year-old get back into the team anytime soon.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Newcastle from Charlton Athletic back in the summer of 2011 when Alan Pardew was in charge of the Magpies and has a contract with the Premier League club until the summer of 2020, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
Newcastle manager Benitez has suggested that Elliot could leave St. James’ Park in the January transfer window.

Benitez told The Chronicle when asked if Elliot could be available for transfer: “Could be, yes. It could be an option. He’s a good keeper that is not playing, and Martin is doing really, really well.
“So four keepers, goalkeepers need to play, but we have options there so maybe it is a possibility.”
Newcastle United exit
Elliot is a good goalkeeper and would do a fantastic job for a club in the Premier League or in the Championship.
It would make sense for the 32-year-old – who earns £25,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – to find another club in January.
