Newcastle United left-back Achraf Lazaar has not played one match so far this season.

Benitez was discussing his January transfer plans, when he revealed that signing a covering left-back at Newcastle was going to be a priority.
Paul Dummett is Newcastle’s first-choice in the position, but Benitez wants to bring in left-footed cover in the position.
The Spanish boss claimed that he had no other options like that, which shows just how far down the pecking order Lazaar is.
Lazaar, of course, is a left-footed senior left-back at Newcastle, but his chances of playing hardly look good, given Benitez has now seemingly completely forgotten about him.
“It’s just the left-back position, that’s the only one we don’t have a left-footed left-back to cover Paul Dummett,” Benitez said.

“The other positions we have a couple of players and if you have a problem the other is ready.
“If not we have others ready to push.”
Lazaar spoke earlier this season about hoping to break back into Newcastle’s team, after spending the last year out on loan.
However, he has only played in Newcastle’s development side so far this term, and his appears his left at St. James’ Park are numbered.
