French giants, Paris Saint-Germain, are reportedly interested in Real Madrid youngster, Marcos Llorente.

According to reports from Spanish newspaper AS, PSG are believed to be preparing a €60m offer for the Real Madrid defensive midfielder, who has excelled on loan at Alaves this season.

The 22-year-old has made 26 La Liga appearances for Alaves this season, and has caught the attention of several major European clubs.

Llorente is keen to establish himself as a Real Madrid first team player. However, doubts remain about how much he figures in Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

Should Newcastle United make a move for Llorente?

Although the offer from PSG is too tempting, Madrid could wait for one more season to check whether he is good enough to play for the first team.

Newcastle should at least try to lure him to St James’ Park in the summer. The Magpies are certain to return to the Premier League, and Rafa Benitez would be looking to sculpt the squad to his own taste.

The midfield is one area which Benitez would be looking to bolster this summer, and a player of Llorente’s ability can only add depth and quality to the side.

Rafa, the former Los Blancos manager, can use his Real Madrid connection to lure the Spaniard to England, albeit on a temporary basis.

Furthermore, if Llorente performs well in the Premier League his stock will increase, and Real Madrid can sell him for a higher value if at all they take that route.
