Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is desperate for more funds to spend at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle boss Benitez has been desperate to be given funds to spend, but he has had to shop on a limited budget so far this season.
There are hopes that Newcastle will be able to invest in January, but Benitez admits that the only decision made so far has been to leave transfer talks until a later date.
“The last meeting we had, two or three weeks ago, about the transfer window, about my future, we decided we would talk later on,” Benitez said.
“So I think the main thing to concentrate on now is what we can do to improve the team, and to be sure we are strong in January, and after we can talk about my future. I am happy here, and can see the potential of the club.”
If Newcastle are given money to spend in January it is expected that a new centre forward will be the first target on their wishlist.

Newcastle have just won back-to-back matches to move themselves out of the Premier League relegation zone, but they have lacked a clinical finisher all season.
Newcastle currently have the likes of Salomon Rondon, Ayoze Perez and Yoshinori Muto competing for places up-front.
Newcastle are next in action later this evening, when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor.
