Arsenal’s Lucas Perez is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
According to The London Evening Standard, the Magpies are interested in signing Perez from Premier League rivals Arsenal this summer.
It has been reported that the Gunners want £13.4 million in order to part company with the former Deportivo La Coruna forward.
Newcastle manager Benitez has suggested that he wants to sign the 28-year-old, and has stated that he likes the Spanish forward.

“I like the player because I have good friends in La Coruna,” Benitez told The Mirror about Perez. “I know that he did really well.
“He’s come here and not played in many games, but I like the player. We know what we need and will try to do it until the end of the transfer window.”

Perez joined Arsenal from Deportivo in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £17.1 million.
The 28-year-old failed to make a massive impact at the Gunners last season, as he was able to make only two starts in the Premier League.
The Spaniard may have struggled at the Emirates Stadium, but there is no doubt that he is a very good forward who would be a good signing for Newcastle, who will play in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
