Newcastle United have a very busy December, with Rafael Benitez’s side still having six games to play.

Rafael Benitez has admitted to the Chronicle that Newcastle United are going to run into problems, because of their fixture schedule.

Newcastle have an extremely busy Christmas period, with a run of tough games set for the coming weeks.

The Magpies are due to take on Everton on Wednesday evening, and they then are in action five more times in just 24 days.

The fast paced nature of the matches means that Benitez may have to rotate, and the Spanish boss is expecting problems to arise.

He said: “I am sure we will have some problems because there are too many games in a row and we will have some injuries or some players tired or whatever, so everybody had to be ready and everybody will be important.”

Newcastle were beaten by West Ham United in their last outing, which dented the momentum that they had built up.

Benitez’s side had won three in a row prior to the weekend, but they were outclassed by West Ham.

Newcastle could not live with Manuel Pellegrini’s side, as they were carved apart in front of their own supporters.

Newcastle are now sat in 15th place in the Premier League table, after taking 12 points from their first 14 league matches.
