DeAndre Yedlin has made an impressive start at Newcastle United.
Rafael Benitez has praised DeAndre Yedlin’s performances in Newcastle United training earlier today.
Yedlin was brought to Newcastle from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window, and he has made an immediate impact at St. James’ Park.
The American full-back’s displays have caught the eye, with his attacking qualities coming to the fore.
Yedlin caused Aston Villa masses of problems in Newcastle’s last match, before having to come off injured.
And Benitez had nothing but praise for the 22-year-old, when discussing how well Yedlin had settled in on Tyneside.
There were fears that Yedlin would have to miss Newcastle’s match against Norwich City tomorrow, but it seems that the rapid defender will make it off the treatment table in time to play.
“I think he will be fine,” Benitez added, when asked about Yedlin’s fitness levels by the Shields Gazette.
Newcastle are currently trailing Norwich in the race for promotion, and they will be determined to collect the three points tomorrow to close the gap on Alex Neil’s side.
