Newcastle United are playing in the Championship this season.
Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has admitted to The Chronicle that it is not easy to keep all of his players happy.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid manager has admitted that it is impossible all of his players at Newcastle happy.
There are as many as 27 players in the Magpies’ first team, and only 14 can take to the pitch during a match.
Benitez has admitted that he faces the difficulty of keeping all of his Newcastle players happy.
“We have 27 players,” Benitez told The Chronicle when asked if his whole squad had bought into his rotation policy this season. “It is impossible to have 27 players who are happy if they do not play.
“So now at this stage of the season we are doing well and everything is fine but if you carry on and some players don’t play too much, they will not be happy.”
Benitez has rotated his squad this season, and at the moment, there is harmony inside the Newcastle dressing room and everyone seems to be happy.
Newcastle are third in the Championship table at the moment with 22 points from 11 matches.
The Magpies are just three points behind leaders Huddersfield Town and are very much in the running for automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
Benitez’s side will take on Brentford at St. James’ Park in the Championship after the international break.
Newcastle will head into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Rotherham United away from home at the AESSEAL New York Stadium in the league.
