Newcastle United could part ways with Matt Ritchie this summer, according to reports.

Middlesbrough and Stoke City are keen on signing the winger, who is said to be available for £15 million.
Benitez knows that he needs to raise funds and reportedly feels that Ritchie could be expendable.

However, letting Ritchie go would be a major risk for Newcastle to take, and the decision should not be taken lightly.
In his two seasons with Newcastle, Ritchie has become one of Benitez’s most trusted players.
Although the wide-man may not be a headline maker, he works tirelessly and has proven that he is more than capable of performing at Premier League level.

Newcastle would need to be absolutely certain that they are bringing in an upgrade to let Ritchie go, and on their budget that could be a challenge.
And Benitez really needs to think long and hard before letting Ritchie go, as it could be a decision which comes to backfire on him later on in the season, unless he finds a much better option.
