Newcastle United defender Ciaran Clark has been in impressive form at St. James’ Park of late.

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez was already changing his mind over Ciaran Clark, and his performance against Chelsea surely convinced him that keeping the defender at St. James’ Park was the right move.
The Spanish boss had been impressed by Clark’s work in recent months, and the defender impressed again for Newcastle in their latest match.

Clark scored Newcastle’s goal at Stamford Bridge, and he generally looked very solid against one of the Premier League’s most dangerous attacks.
The 29-year-old has managed to force his way into Benitez’s first-team thinking of late.
And Benitez will now surely fend off all offers for Clark in January, as keeping him around looks to be the best option.
