Newcastle United are known to be trying to bring Kenedy back to St. James’ Park next season.

According to the Daily Mirror, Rafael Benitez wants to be given £70 million over the next three transfer windows to stay at Newcastle United.

Benitez wants written assurances that he will be given money to spend at St. James’ Park, if he is to stay on at Newcastle.

The budget seems a modest one, and if Newcastle do have around £23.5 million to spend in the next three transfer windows, then Benitez will still not be able to make massive changes.

Newcastle have performed well to stay in the Premier League this season, but there is a recognition that more quality is needed at St. James’ Park.

Kenedy is thought to be among Newcastle’s top targets for the summer, but completing a permanent deal for the Chelsea man would be a massive risk now.

If Benitez does only have £23.5 million to spend in each of the next three transfer windows, then he will have to blow almost that entire budget to sign Kenedy.

Chelsea are said to value the Brazilian at over £20 million by the Daily Mail, which would be a costly venture for Newcastle.

And, given that Benitez is likely to need additions elsewhere, it may be that hoping to get Kenedy back on loan is Newcastle’s only option this summer.
