Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has told The Shields Gazette that the fans should stay calm.
The Magpies have lost their last two Premier League matches and have dropped down to 11th in the standings.

Newcastle manager Benitez has urged the St. James’ Park faithful and the players to stick together.
The Spaniard has also stated that this season is about survival in the Premier League, something the fans may not want to hear.
“We were relegated two years ago, then we were promoted, which was a massive achievement to do it first time,” Benitez told The Shields Gazette.
“Now we must realise the target is to stay in the Premier League, be sure that we are strong enough to do that.
“These young players … some of them will grow and improve because they have new experiences in them, and after that we will be stronger.
“The only way is to stick together. I can see some of the fans after losing the other day were asking me ‘you have lost two games in a row’. Yes, but we’re a new club in the Premier League.”
Newcastle won automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the last season, and their main objective this season has to be survival in the Premier League.
True, a cup run or a push for a top-10 spot in the Premier League would be great for the fans, but they have to realise that this season is all about survival in the top flight of English football.
