Newcastle United have struggled for form this season, but did pick up their first victory of the season.

Rafael Benitez has been left pleased with the attitude that Newcastle United’s players have shown in training, as per his comments in the Chronicle.
Newcastle have made a poor start to the season, and went into their match with Watford this weekend without a victory to their name.
The Magpies did manage to pick up their first three point haul of the campaign at St. James’ Park on Saturday.
But Benitez insists that Newcastle’s standards in training have never dipped, even with the pressure mounting.
He said: “In terms of the atmosphere at the training ground – it is really good.
“The players train very well and in general we don’t have any big issues.
“Outside there is a little bit of noise but we are focused.
“We try to do our jobs as professionals.

“The players showed (against Watford) what they can do.”
Newcastle’s win over Watford has taken them out of the relegation and lifted some of the gloom over St. James’ Park.
Benitez’s side picked up the victory thanks to a headed goal from Ayoze Perez.
Newcastle will now be looking to push on up the Premier League standings in the coming weeks.
Benitez’s side are next in action when they take on Bournemouth on Saturday.
