Leeds United are reportedly interested in Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

It has been reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post that Darlow is among the top targets of Leeds, who are claimed to have already enquired about the availability of the former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper.
The Magpies reportedly value the goalkeeper at £4 million, but Newcastle manager Benitez has suggested that he does not want to sell the 28-year-old.
The Yorkshire Evening Post quotes Benitez as saying regarding the possibility of Darlow leaving Newcastle: “We are not really interested in selling anyone. The only one (goalkeeper) that is available in the window is Rob Elliot.”

Disappointment for Leeds United?
Leeds need an experienced goalkeeper to compete with Bailey Peacock-Farrell, and Darlow does appear to be a good potential signing.
Benitez’s comments, though, do appear to be a blow for Leeds in their reported pursuit of the 28-year-old, but the Championship club should not lose heart.
After all, it does make sense for Benitez to maintain a public stance of not selling his players to make potential interested clubs to raise their bid.
Darlow is unlikely to get much playing time during the second half of the season, and it will make sense for the goalkeeper to move to Leeds in the January transfer window.
