Newcastle United are set to make a repeat bid to sign Chelsea’s Kenedy this summer.
Rafael Benitez has claimed in the Chronicle that a move to Newcastle United would be good for Kenedy.
Newcastle have taken Kenedy on loan from Chelsea this season, and the winger has impressed with his performances.
The Magpies are now set to make a bid to take Kenedy off Chelsea for the duration of next campaign, but getting a deal done could be problematic.
Benitez admits he could be left powerless, if Antonio Conte’s side decide they want to keep hold of the Brazilian.
But Benitez feels that a move to St. James’ Park would be of benefit to both Kenedy and Newcastle
“I am sure Kenedy is a player that they [Chelsea] will consider,” Benitez said.
“But they have so many good players they may see him as an option for the boy to go on loan for another year. Where could a good place for him be? Newcastle.
“And for sure that could be a good chance for him and us.”
Kenedy has been in wonderful form since arriving at Newcastle in January.
The 22-year-old wasted no time in breaking into Benitez’s side’s starting line-up, and his performances have been highly impressive.
Kenedy has two goals and two assists to his name in 11 Premier League appearances for Newcastle this season.
