Newcastle United should be back in for Aaron Mooy this summer.

Huddersfield Town look set for relegation back to the Championship this season, and some of their players may well attract real interest this summer.
The likes of Terence Kongolo, Martin Jorgensen and Philip Billing could attract interest, but the most in-demand player will surely be Aaron Mooy.
Mooy has been Huddersfield’s key midfielder for three seasons now, and clearly belongs in the Premier League, with Newcastle United surely interested.
The World Game in Australia reported last summer that Rafael Benitez wanted Mooy at Newcastle, though no deal materialised, with Huddersfield fighting to keep their talismanic midfielder.
Now though, Mooy will surely want a return to the Premier League, and with question marks over a few Newcastle midfielders, this summer is the right time for Benitez to strike.
Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden are likely to be sold, whilst Mo Diame’s contract expires this summer, leaving Benitez short of options in the middle, with Mooy a sensible target.

He has great creativity from midfield like Shelvey, creating 37 chances in 23 games this season, just shy of Paul Pogba, but also real tenacity around the park to get stuck in and involved in all aspects.
At 28, Mooy may not fit Mike Ashley’s bill, but the Australian would be a superb replacement for Shelvey this summer as a proven midfielder, and Benitez should battle for his signature if able to do so this summer.
