Wolves loanee Rafa Mir has been out on loan.

Rafa Mir of Wolverhampton Wanderers applauds the fans during the Sky Bet Championship match between Barnsley and Wolverhampton at Oakwell Stadium on January 13, 2018 in Barnsley, England.

Wolves prospect Rafa Mir has completed his loan spell at Las Palmas.

The former Valencia forward joined Wolves in January 2018.

He was loaned out to Spanish second division side Las Palmas for the season, so that he could play regularly.

The 21-year-old scored seven goals in 30 games this season.

He sent a message on Twitter after the conclusion of his loan spell this weekend.

He was an unused substitute as Las Palmas beat Rayo Majadahonda 3-2.

Mir tweeted: “In Gran Canaria I have been very happy and today I put an end to this stage. I would like to thank my colleagues, coaches and staff of this great club for the love they have shown towards me. A love that I have tried to return with work and goals. Thank you! @UDLP_Oficial”

Now he has a big task ahead at Wolves to make an impression in pre-season.

Mir’s moderate goal return in Spain is not likely to be enough to win over the Wolves’ coaching staff by itself.

He is under contract until 2022 and is ‘one for the future’. A loan to a Championship side may be his interest next season.
