Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has told the Chronicle that is crucial for his side to keep doing the same things they have been doing.
The Magpies have adapted well to life in the Championship since being relegated last season, winning seven of their 11 games.
They currently sit third in the table as a result, just two points behind surprise leaders Huddersfield Town.
The Spaniard has not been hesitant in changing his side throughout their games so far as his rotation policy has become the norm at the club.
But while that change is welcome, he has insisted to the Chronicle that it is crucial they do not change elsewhere.
“It is crucial for us to keep doing the same things,” he said.
“We just have to concentrate on us, our games and our performances. We have to do what we need to do. At the end of the season, we can hopefully enjoy it together.”
It is easy to see why Benitez is determined to keep his side on their current track for as long as possible.
While sitting third in the table and just two points from first place, they are also the Championship’s highest goalscorers as well as boasting the joint-fourth defensive record.
Those are impressive stats and keeping them up will be key to their chances of securing an instant return to the Premier League.
