Newcastle United are nearly at full strength as they head into tomorrow night’s game against Nottingham Forest.
Speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference, Magpies boss Rafa Benitez provided an injury update, explaining how there are only two players in the first-team squad who are currently unavailable for selection, as quoted by the Shields Gazette.
Newcastle have slipped to second in the Championship table, after an inconsistent run of form that has seem them win three and lose three form their last six league outings.

But the Spaniard provided some positive news for Newcastle fans, when he told reporters that only Rolando Aarons (knee) and defender Jesus Gamez (collarbone) are unavailable for selection, as quoted by the Shields Gazette, and he went on to explain why it is so important to have a full complement of players at this current time:
“For us, we have some players coming back from injury, so at least we have some more bodies before the African Cup of Nations.”

The Tyneside outfit now face a crucial run of fixtures, starting with tomorrow night’s home game against Forest, that lead up to their huge clash with league leaders Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on January 28th.
And with the squad that Benitez has at his disposal, there is no reason why he cannot guide them to run of four straight wins leading up to the game against the Seagulls.
