Rafa Benitez is on the hunt for quality players as he looks to build a Newcastle United side capable of competing in the Premier League next season.

Newcastle may have blasted away most of the sides in the second division, but Benitez knows better than anyone that more quality is a necessity in the Premier League.
The Magpies have been linked with a host of potential signings with adding more firepower a priority.
The likes of Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham have been heavily linked, but the Spaniard should be encouraged by news coming out of Arsenal that his compatriot Lucas Perez has told the Gunners he wants to leave this summer.
Fed up: Arsenal’s Lucas Perez
Perez ticks all the boxes for Benitez and the Spanish connection could prove decisive if Newcastle do make a move for the 28-year-old.
Perez has endured a frustrating season at the Emirates following his £17million move from Deportivo La Coruna last August.
He has not disgraced himself, though, and his record actually holds up well with eight goals in 21 appearances for the Gunners, many as sub.
The likes of West Ham have been credited with an interest and clubs have now been alerted to his availability after the Spaniard’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle said his client has had enough already and wants to leave, as reported by Sky Sports.
Perez has a good goal record despite a lack of chances at Arsenal
“The idea is to be able to play for another club,” Lovelle said.
“We want to leave and Arsenal already know.
“Do you know anyone who is happy but has no opportunities?”
Benitez should use his Spanish influence to lure Perez
A stocky, powerful striker in the Sergio Aguero mould, Perez seems to have all the attributes to be a success in the Premier League.
With a record of nearly a goal every other game despite his lack of chances at Arsenal, Perez could shine under the right manager at the right club and becoming the next striker idol at St James’ Park under Benitez might appeal to the Spain international.
