It’s good to see that Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani can find time for a laugh amid all the pressure that he’s under right now.
The Italian businessman’s club are fighting for Premier League promotion and things look pretty good.
Leeds have a six-point cushion in the top two with only six Championship left and Marcelo Bielsa should definitely mastermind a top-flight return after 16 years.
Still, it’s a worrying time for Radrizzani because promotion is worth £200 million to the Whites and missing out on it would not only hurt emotionally, it’d hurt financially.
Not only that, but with Elland Road being closed due to the global health crisis, Leeds, like every professional club, are losing money with a lack of matchday revenue.
There’s obviously a degree of stress in Radrizzani’s life right now, but one fan of the West Yorkshire club has cheered him up on Twitter.
One Leeds supporter posted a picture of a sign that reads: “Don’t be embarrassed to wear a face mask. I know people who wear a Man Utd shirt in public.”
The Red Devils and Leeds are long-time enemies, despite being in different divisions for the past 16 years, and Radrizzani has seen the funny side of that message.
Bielsa’s side, who sit top of the Championship, are away to Blackburn today, while Brentford, in third, are home to administration-hit Wigan Athletic.
