Leeds United are still hoping that Marcelo Bielsa stays put this summer – but they appear to be considering potential successors.
Bielsa is out of contract this summer, and Leeds will be desperate for ‘El Loco’ to commit to another year in the Premier League.
Until that deal is done though, Leeds can’t afford to rest on their laurels, and The Times report that they are considering a big-name appointment.
They claim that Leeds have approached Massimiliano Allegri about a shock move to Elland Road, with Sevilla’s Julen Lopetegui also wanted.
Allegri would represent a massive capture for Leeds given his history with AC Milan and Juventus having won six Serie A titles.
Leeds actually moved for Allegri way back in 2014 according to Gianluca Di Marzio, and that was because of his great relationship with Massimo Cellino.

The pair worked together at Cagliari, but Allegri rejected a reunion at Leeds despite that relationship, and has spoken highly of Cellino in the past.
Allegri admitted to Goal Italy in 2016 that he loves Cellino despite his detractors, and if Andrea Radrizzani needs another opinion on Allegri, then he may be wise to seek one from Cellino – the man he bought Leeds from in 2017.
