Leeds will be desperate to end their dismal run of form against Middlesbrough.

Andrea Radrizzani, Owner of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Bristol City and Leeds United at Ashton Gate on October 21, 2017 in Bristol, England.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has pleaded with fans on Twitter to turn Elland Road into a cauldron on Sunday afternoon as the Whites go up against Middlesbrough and former manager Garry Monk.

Thomas Christiansen’s side come into the game after losing seven of their last eight league and cup encounters, seemingly helpless to prevent Brentford from securing a comfortable 3-1 victory at Griffin Park last time out.

It has seen the former APOEL Nicosia manager come under increasing pressure, while Christiansen has also been criticised for his decision to bring in director of football Victor Orta with a number of summer signings failing to impress.

Leeds need a win more than ever and Italian owner Radrizzani urged the Elland Road faithful to get behind the team on his personal Twitter account, stating that the side needs the fans’ “love and passion”.

In what is Monk’s first return to Elland Road since failing to agree a new contract with Radrizzani and thus resigning, fans will be desperate to get one over the former Swansea boss.

Despite sitting in the automatic promotion places at times, Leeds are now way down in tenth place but three points in front of the television cameras could see Radrizzani’s side climb back into the play-off places.

However, they would need Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town, Derby County and Aston Villa all to drop points on Saturday.
