Leeds United missed out on promotion to the Premier League this season.
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has told the Daily Mail that he thinks this summer’s transfer window will be ‘difficult’ for the club.
The Whites have missed out on a potential return to the Premier League, having been dumped out of the playoffs by Derby County last week.
After squandering automatic promotion and then collapsing in the playoffs, it’s been a difficult six weeks or so for Leeds fans, who are now looking for morsels of positivity.
Marcelo Bielsa may well stay as manager, but questions remain over the futures of Kalvin Phillips, Jack Clarke and Kemar Roofe.
Premier League clubs will be eyeing all three, and having pushed hard for promotion this season, missing out may see some key names leave Elland Road this summer.
With that in mind, Leeds owner Radrizzani has now offered an honest prediction to fans, believing that this will be a ‘difficult’ transfer window in terms of the transfer market.
That may well cover outgoings and incomings, but Radrizzani did add that he’s excited about the Leeds academy, which is continuing to provide talented young players to the Leeds first team.
“We will have to run a difficult summer in terms of transfer market but we have a great academy,” said Radrizzani.
