Leeds United picked up only a second Premier League win this afternoon.

The Whites rode their luck a little to win 2-1 away to struggling Norwich City, who are rooted to the foot of the table.

Rodrigo’s fortuitous winner on the hour mark was the difference between both sides in the end.

Here’s how Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani reacted on Twitter:

How was the game won?

As mentioned, Rodrigo’s strike in the final half-hour was enough for United during what was an otherwise fairly dismal display from Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The Spanish attacker’s left-footed strike from outside the box was poorly dealt with by Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul, who sort of parried it into his own net.

Only four minutes earlier, Leeds had gone ahead through Raphinha but an instant response from Andrew Omobamidele restored parity, before the Rodrigo goal.

It wasn’t an inspiring win by the Elland Road club but when you’re in a relegation battle, which this team are, then the result is always far more important than the performance.

And this result takes Leeds three points clear of the bottom three for now, with the Canaries eight points adrift of safety.
