The transfer window is slowly but surely winding down, and one club we expect to be active is Leeds United.
Leeds have only signed one senior player this summer in the shape of Junior Firpo, despite the fact it’s long been rumoured that they want a new winger and a new midfielder.
Fans are desperate to see another body added to the midfield, and as you can imagine, Andrea Radrizzani has been bombarded by messages on Twitter about potential new signings.
Interestingly, the Leeds owner has replied to one fan who asked where the new midfielder was.
You can take this in one of two ways.
Either the hierarchy at Leeds don’t believe the Whites need a new midfielder now that Forshaw is back, or Radrizzani is being a bit of a tease on social media.
Radrizzani has been known to have a bit of fun with his social media activity in the past, notably liking tweets about Rodrigo De Paul signing for the club when he was linked.
To be fair, we would absolutely understand the logic if Leeds felt as though they don’t need a new midfielder now that Forshaw has recovered. After all, he’s a player Bielsa rates incredibly highly.
The window closes in less than a week, so if Leeds want to make some new additions they need to get a move on.
