Leeds United have bought back Elland Road.
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is proving once again he is a man of action, with the club making a major announcement this evening.
The club announced on their official website they have bought back stadium Elland Road.

Leeds sold the stadium to help pay their debts in 2004 and have been leasing it ever since.
Radrizzani told Leeds’ official website: “Today is an important day in our history and a proud day for me and my team.
“When I met with both management and supporters during my first few months at the club, the purchase of Elland Road was very high on their list of priorities and I’m delighted to be able to announce that we have completed that process today.”

Leeds having to lease back their stadium has been a drain on their finances over the last few years, and it has also restricted what they are able to do with regards to it.
Radrizzani bought a 50 per cent stake in the club in January before taking 100 per cent of control last month.
He has impressed fans by handing young talent Ronaldo Vieira a long term contract, making a good early signing in Mateusz Klich, and replaced manager Garry Monk in a professional manner, with no leaks or public rejections from potential managers.
The stadium purchase is the cherry on the top, and supporters are right to believe the good times may finally be coming back to Elland Road.
