Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa has joked on Twitter about racing Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.
Premier League club Tottenham will take on Championship side Wycombe in the fourth round of the FA Cup this season. The tie will be held at Adams Park on the weekend of January 23.
Akinfenwa has joked about racing Bale, who returned to Tottenham on loan from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020.
The 38-year-old Wycombe striker is regarded as one of the strongest players around, but he does not have a lot of pace.
As for Bale, the Wales international is one of the best attacking players in the world and is a threat to opposition defenders when he runs with the ball.
Exciting tie
Tottenham will head into the tie against Wycombe as favourites, but the Championship club are not going to be easy pushovers and must not be taken lightly at all by the Premier League side.
Gareth Ainsworth’s team will be determined to put on a good show against Spurs and will feel confident of giving Jose Mourinho’s side a run for their money.
