According to a report from Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are preparing a loan with an option to buy offer for Barcelona ace Malcom this summer, and Tottenham cannot afford to allow the Serie A giants a free run at the winger.

Spurs have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old for nearly a year, with the Daily Star reporting in January that Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the pacey winger.

The Telegraph claims that Barca are already looking to move the Brazilian on, having only signed him last summer, and expect to receive somewhere in the region of £38 million for his services.

Malcom has struggled since joining the La Liga giants, that cannot be disputed, but it could be argued that he hasn’t been given sufficient opportunities to prove his true worth.

And a move away from Barca might be just what he needs in order to reinvigorate his flagging career.

Tottenham boss Pochettino is well-renowned for getting the best out of his players, and he might just be able to turn the Brazilian into a genuine superstar in north London.

If Malcom is available for the reported fee of £38 million, Spurs quite simply must do all that they can to bring him to the club this summer.

Tottenham haven’t signed anyone during the last two transfer windows, and they can more than make up for that dry spell by bringing the 22-year-old Brazilian to north London at the end of this season.
