Some Aston Villa fans are reacting to an announcement about Arjan Raikhy.
The highly-rated academy product has left Aston Villa to join Stockport County on a season-long loan agreement.
Raikhy helped the Villans to an FA Youth Cup success last season and also showed the supporters what he was about with a senior debut against Liverpool in the FA Cup.
But County are a National League side, not in the Football League.
And some Aston Villa fans are claiming on Twitter that he could’ve got a better loan, at a more competitive level.
Early debut
The teenager could get first-team football immediately.
That’s because his new club kick off their season on Saturday with a clash against Dagenham and Redbridge.
And it’ll be fascinating to see how the Aston Villa prospect fares.
Raikhy is clearly well thought-of at the club, evident by his new contract in July.
And even though it’s the National League, it’s still men’s football and no doubt he’ll return to Bodymoor Heath as a better all-round player because of the experience next summer.
