Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours of Lucas Torriera potentially joining Lazio.
Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, has shared how Torreira could be heading towards the Serie A giants this summer on a permanent basis.
When the combative midfielder first arrived on Arsenal shores for £26 million in 2018 (BBC Sport), there were high hopes of what he could produce in the long term.
But slowly but surely, he started to struggle after his first season at the club, including when Unai Emery left.
Arsenal fans think it’s the right time for the 25-year-old to move on, but they seemingly want a large chunk of money from those in Lazio.
There has been one constant from those in the North London boardroom, signing a player for a big fee and then struggle to move him on when he starts to stagnate.
If Torreira does indeed leave the club, it will be interesting to see what happens to his career and whether he follows the footsteps of someone like Francis Coquelin.
He has turned his career around since leaving the Emirates, including winning the Europa League with Villarreal last season.
And those repping the Gunners will be hoping that Torreira doesn’t come back to bite them back also.
