The former Rangers striker played with Morelos at Ibrox, and while he has said that the Colombia international loves it at the Gers, he believes that it is “quite obvious” that the 23-year-old wants to find a new club.
According to The Scottish Sun, Newcastle are among the clubs interested in signing Morelos in the summer transfer window.
Leicester City, Everton, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also claimed to be interested in signing the youngster.
The Scottish Sun quotes Miller as saying: “If you’re looking at £20 million for Alfredo Morelos then there’s some real strengthening you could go and do with the squad.
“It just depends where his head’s at. But I think he’ll go. I think he does love it at Rangers. But I think he does want to move on, that’s quite obvious.”
Encouraging for Newcastle United
With Joelinton struggling for goals this season, Newcastle do need a striker, and Morelos does fit the bill.
The 23-year-old is a very good goalscorer, and having played for a massive club such as Rangers, he would not be fazed by the prospect of turning out for Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
Miller’s comments about Morelos wanting to leave Rangers will encourage Newcastle, and perhaps in the coming weeks, the Magpies will make an approach for the Colombian.
