Gary Lineker has made a sarcastic comment about Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on Twitter.
The former Everton and Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that it is “quite impressive” the way in which Pickford dives for balls that are going miles wide of his goal.
Lineker made the comment during the Premier League game between Spurs and Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side lost the match 1-0, with Spurs maintaining their slim chances of finishing in the Champions League places this season.
Lineker has also given his take on the final result, and was not too impressed with either Tottenham or Everton.
Next season going to be big
Everton are unlikely to finish in the Europa League places this season, but one suspects that the Toffees probably know that.
The Merseyside outfit have a world-class manager in Carlo Ancelotti, and the progress that the team have made under the Italian tactician since he took over suggests that with a few good signings in the summer transfer window, they could be challenging for the European places next season.
