Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Steven Bergwijn.

One of Tottenham Hotspur’s main rivals for Steven Bergwijn have dropped out of the race.
Ajax have clinched a deal for Dutch international winger Quincy Promes, the club announced, ditching their need to sign Bergwijn.
The Mail has reported Tottenham want to sign both Bergwijn and Leeds winger Jack Clarke.
Ajax had emerged as surprise contenders to sign Bergwijn from competitors PSV.
PSV boss Mark van Bommel acknowledged this at the weekend, telling Voetbal Primeur that losing Bergwijn to Ajax would not be ideal.
He said: “We do not want to sell him to Ajax. Look, if Ajax comes, and they pay the right price, then he will no doubt leave.”

Ajax will now no longer have a need for Bergwijn unless David Neres is sold for big money, and this has to help Tottenham’s cause.
Manchester United have also been linked to Bergwijn, who scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists last season.
It’s unclear how high on the list of priorities Bergwijn is, but Ajax dropping out of the race definitely makes their task easier.
