Chelsea fans on Twitter believe Willian would leave Arsenal’s negotiations instantly if they offered him what he wants as he edges closer to making a potentially stunning move to the Emirates Stadium.

Sky Sports have reported that Arsenal have offered the versatile winger a three-year deal – something which their London rivals refuse to offer because of his age, as his chances of staying at his current club look remote.

The Stamford Bridge faithful reminded their rival fans at how quickly Willian rejected Tottenham when Chelsea came calling the first time he moved to England [Guardian], as they feel he would do the same with their North London rivals if their club offered him the deal he wants.

Willian mainly operates on the flanks, but given his ability to work in tight areas, link attacks, and read attacking situations very well, he can also showcase his worth down the middle.

There’s no doubt that Willian would add spice to Arsenal’s forward line, who were too good for Chelsea in the FA Cup final last Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s biggest problem is his defence, and whilst Willian isn’t the answer to his problems, he is worth taking a punt on because of his attacking qualities and the fact that he would arrive as a free-transfer if he were to join.

It would be ideal for Frank Lampard to keep the Brazil international on his side, but the Blues fans aren’t fussed if he does move to the other side because they feel, in the long-term, they are the ones who’ll benefit.
