West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of youngster Quevin Moises Castro – a player who had trials at Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Baggies have confirmed Castro’s arrival having impressed during a trial with the Baggies, handing him a two-year contract.

West Brom can extend that contract by another year, with the 19-year-old described as an ‘energetic and powerful’ central midfielder.

Castro had been playing in non-league with Thetford Town, but he has also been with Bury Town and Mildenhall Town in a difficult path to the Football League.

Suffolk News noted earlier this year that both Arsenal and Chelsea looked into signing Castro by taking him on trial, with the Blues extending his stint at the club.

Neither of the North London giants ended up signing Castro, but West From have now swooped in to strike a deal for the teenager.

Ipswich Town had a look at Castro too having impressed in the local scene, and the youngster finally has his senior professional deal with West Brom.

Valerian Ismael will now take charge of his development and hope to see him not only break into the Baggies side, but also leave Arsenal and Chelsea regretting not signing him.
