Tim Sherwood has said on Sky Sports News (12:36pm, August 6, 2022) that he is not convinced by Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has said that he has question marks about Arsenal and Ghana international midfielder Partey.

Sherwood made the comments following Arsenal’s win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League last Friday evening

Partey did his job in the middle of the park and was efficient in possessions, although during spells in the London derby, the £160,000-a-week (SalarySport) star looked anonymous.

Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (12:36pm, August 6, 2022): “I am not sure about Thomas Partey. He is one I still have question marks about.”

Important player for the Gunners

In our view, Thomas Partey is an important player for Arsenal and will be massive for the Gunners this season.

The 29-year-old has had injury problems during his time at the North London club, but when he has been fit and available, he has been brilliant in the middle of the park.

Partey breaks down opposition’s attacking moves and can also drive his team forward.

We think that Partey is a very good player who is at the top of his game at the moment and remains an important figure in the Arsenal team.

Partey has scored two goals and created two big chances in 49 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
