Ryan Manning has told the 42 that he has no qualms with having to bide his time for a chance at Queens Park Rangers this season.

Manning was one of the stars of the campaign for QPR last time around, with the attacking midfielder’s performances catching the eye.

However, Ian Holloway has generally overlooked the 21-year-old prospect this time around, in favour of other options.

But the Republic of Ireland youth international insists that he is not feeling hard done by, as he knows his teammates have been in such good form.

“If you look at our team, you’ll see that Josh (Scowen), Mass (Luongo) and Luke (Freeman) have been outstanding since the beginning of the season,” Manning said.

“If you look at the (club) player-of-the-month awards, the three of them have been nominated two months in a row. I spoke to the gaffer and I just have to bide my time, wait for an opportunity to come and hopefully I can take it.

“I’m more than happy to accept that the three boys are playing well and I just have to wait for the opportunity to come.”

QPR are next in action after the international break, when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Rangers have failed to win any of their last five fixtures – with some concerns forming over their recent struggles.

QPR are currently in 16th place in the Championship table, and they need to get back to winning ways to avoid slipping even further down the standings.
