Queens Park Rangers beat Derby County in the play-off final four years ago to the day yesterday.

Charlie Austin has brilliantly responded to a Derby County supporter, who questioned whether he played in Queens Park Rangers’ play off final during the 2013/14 campaign.
QPR beat Derby at Wembley four years ago yesterday, after what was one of the most memorable moments in the club’s recent history.
Rangers had been on the back foot for most of the contest, but in the last minute Bobby Zamora made himself a hero at Loftus Road.

The striker capitalised on an error from Derby defender Richard Keogh to blast the ball into the back of the net to send QPR to the Premier League.
The goal has gone down in Rangers’ folklore and Austin was quick to celebrate it on Twitter yesterday.
Unfortunately QPR’s fortunes since their famous play off victory have been less successful.
Rangers were relegated in the following season after promotion, and they have not returned to the top flight since.
Austin left QPR back in 2016 for Southampton, and he is still with the Saints now.
