Queens Park Rangers beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 in Championship action last night.

Matt Smith has taken widespread acclaim from Queens Park Rangers’ fans for his performance against Wigan Athletic last night.
Smith scored QPR’s first goal in the contest, to set Ian Holloway’s side on their way to three points.
The powerful forward, who joined from Fulham in the January transfer window, finished well in the opening stages – after a good cross from Conor Washington.
Smith then continued to cause problems to the Wigan defence throughout the match, with his power proving to be a big threat.
The former Leeds striker now has scored two goals in his last two games, and he appears to have formed an excellent partnership with Washington.
QPR fans are certainly impressed by what they have seen from Smith so far, and were quick to praise him on social media.
QPR’s win over Wigan has lifted them up to 15th in the Championship table, and they now have put 10 points between themselves at the bottom three.
Rangers are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Preston North End at Deepdale.
