Conor Washington scored his second league goal of the season for Queens Park Rangers against Norwich City.
Queens Park Rangers supporters have praised the performance of Conor Washington against Norwich City yesterday.
Washington has struggled for goals since joining QPR, and he was used as a winger towards the end of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s time in charge.
However, the 24-year-old was played up-front by Ian Holloway in his first match in charge at Loftus Road and he thrived in his favoured position.
Washington set QPR on their way to a 2-1 win over Norwich by finishing well in the opening stages of the match.
And QPR supporters are now hoping that Holloway’s arrival can see Washington start to become more prolific for them.
Holloway’s first match back in charge of QPR could hardly have gone better, as they picked up three points against promotion chasing Norwich.
The Canaries saw Martin Olsson sent off in the opening stages of the contest, and QPR made their numerical advantage count.
Washington poached a goal from a corner, before Sebastian Polter latched on to a through ball and finished well.
Norwich did pull one back late on through Stephen Naismith, but it was not enough, with QPR holding on to claim an important victory, as they aim to climb up the Championship table.
