James Perch has featured in just one of Queens Park Rangers’ last three matches.
James Perch has admitted to Queens Park Rangers’ official website that he was getting frustrated at being left out of Ian Holloway’s team.
Perch had been left on Rangers’ substitutes’ bench for their recent matches against Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic.
However, the versatile defender was brought back into Holloway’s starting line-up for QPR’s match against Preston North End.
And although QPR were beaten 2-1 at Deepdale, Perch was still happy to have played a part.
“It was nice to be back out there playing, albeit we didn’t get the result we all wanted,” Perch said.
“It’s always frustrating when you’re on the bench and not in the starting XI.
“To play the 90 minutes was good, but to lose the game was hugely frustrating because I didn’t think we deserved to lose over the course of the 90 minutes.”
Perch looks set to continue in QPR’s line-up over the coming weeks, with Grant Hall out injured.
Hall has been a regular starter for Rangers this season, but was sidelined last weekend.
Perch has generally featured a lot for QPR so far this term, and he racked up 24 Championship appearances to date.
Perch is expected to start when Rangers take on Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City side in their next fixture.
