Queens Park Rangers are among the clubs said to be chasing Peterborough United’s Jack Marriott.

QPR are competing with Aston Villa and Sunderland for Marriott’s signature, and Posh are unlikely to let the 23-year-old go cheaply.
However, Rangers do have Conor Washington, and may be able to propose a swap deal with the League One side for their star striker.
QPR signed Washington from Peterborough two years ago, but the Northern Ireland international’s time at Loftus Road has not gone as planned.

Washington still hasn’t turned into the regular scorer at Championship level that QPR were hoping, and the 25-year-old is now facing question marks over his future.
Posh could be open to taking the former Newport man back, though, as he enjoyed great success during his last spell at the ABAX Stadium.

Washington scored 15 goals in 16 matches for Posh, prior to his move to QPR, and has proven to be a real weapon at League One level.
And if Ian Holloway did offer Washington up in pursuit of sealing Marriott’s signature, then QPR may find Peterborough more open to doing a deal.
