Luke Amos has not featured back at Tottenham Hotspur since 2018, but he could have some chances on a loan spell with Queens Park Rangers.

Mark Warburton has labelled Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luke Amos ‘really talented’ in West London Sport, after the midfielder made his return to action at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Spurs loanee Amos came off the bench to help QPR pick up a 3-2 win over Hull City.

It was Amos’s first appearance in over a month, as he has been ruled out with injury.

But Warburton thinks that the Tottenham youngster has a massive part to play at Loftus Road now.

“That was his first first-team game for the past four or five weeks. He had that injury, the medical team has looked after him, [and] so he’s back,” Warburton said.

“He’s a talented lad, a really talented player, and we have to look after all our players, but it’s great to see him back on the pitch. There’s no doubt between now and May he will have a big impact for us.”

Amos had made an extremely bright start to life at QPR before injury struck, and the hope is that he can pick up where he left off.

If Amos can prove himself at QPR, then there may just be an opening available at Spurs.

Amos has not played for Pochettino’s side since 2018, but Tottenham are looking for a defensive midfielder currently, as their senior options have been poor this term.

The likes of Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier have struggled, so if Amos does find form then the calls for him to come back to Spurs will only grow louder.

QPR are next in action tomorrow against Reading, when Amos could have a chance of starting.
