Sean Goss was handed his sixth Queens Park Rangers appearance against Brentford last weekend.
Ian Holloway has told West London Sport that Sean Goss looked off the pace, when starting for Queens Park Rangers against Brentford.
QPR signed Goss from Manchester United during the January transfer window, and there was great excitement about the youngster’s arrival at Loftus Road.
However, Holloway seemingly has had reservations over using the 21-year-old frequently.
Goss has made just six appearances for QPR to date, with the bulk of these coming as a substitute.
But Goss was handed his first start for Rangers since the start of April at Griffin Park on Saturday, as Holloway reshuffled his team.
Unfortunately for Goss things didn’t go according to plan, and he was taken off at half-time – with Holloway’s side 1-0 down.
And Holloway said: “I took Gossy off and unfortunately the young ones aren’t quite playing as well because it’s in a high-tension situation.
“Gossy has to realise how quick things are in there and how sharp things are in there.
“He’s looked fantastic in training but he got caught once or twice.”
Despite the change, QPR still failed to get back into the match at Griffin Park.
Brentford went on to win 3-1, to keep QPR looking over their shoulders.
Rangers are now only five points above the drop zone, with two games left to play.
