Aston Villa’s fine recent form continued on Saturday afternoon as they beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 away from home.
Steve Bruce’s men had lost just twice in 13 games heading into their trip to Loftus Road, but having lost 2-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday before the international break, Villa were looking for a response.
However, Villa fell behind in West London, as Sam Johnstone failed to deal with a corner, and Jamie Mackie was credited with bundling the ball home for the opener.

Villa did hit back though, as Jack Robinson’s handball inside the area gave Albert Adomah the chance to score from the spot, and he duly obliged.
Adomah then clinched all three points, collecting the ball on the left hand side before driving a left-footed strike across goal and into the net via the post.
Villa now sit fifth in the Championship table, and whilst Adomah will claim most of the plaudits for his two goals, Villa fans took to Twitter in order to hail playmaker Josh Onomah, who featured behind lone striker Keinan Davis.

Fans believe that Onomah was quality against QPR, praising him for being ‘a baller’ whilst also suggesting that he is striking up an unreal relationship with striker Davis.
However, given that the youngster will return to Tottenham at the end of the season, other fans are trying not to get too excited about Onomah’s performances, as they know he won’t be a Villa player long-term.
